I've spent 10 years as a professional muralist and painter, working on everything from large-scale murals to commissioned portraits and one-of-a-kind pieces for homes, schools, and businesses. I love the craft itself — the planning, the color work, the hours on a ladder or at an easel — and bring the same care to a 40-foot wall as I do to a single canvas.

I built much of my practice in Tampa, Florida, where I painted murals for schools and nonprofits and served three years on the board of The Tampa Foundation, a public-art nonprofit dedicated to bringing inspiring art to the Tampa Bay community. That work included a sensory pathway and interactive floor mural for the Nina Harris Education Center, and a mural for Coffee Uniting People, a nonprofit café that employs adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities alongside neurotypical staff. Earlier in my career, I managed the Britt Ford Gallery in Tampa's Hyde Park Village, which gave me a rounded view of the art business beyond my own studio.

Since relocating to the Hudson Valley, I've kept painting — most recently a mural for the Early Childhood Literacy room at the Woodbury Public Library's Ida Cornell Branch — and I'm always glad to take on a new wall, portrait, or commission, here or while traveling.

Alongside my commissioned work, I also run The Open Wall Collective, a program where I bring a group — students, residents, employees, neighbors — into the design and painting of a mural themselves. It's something I love doing, and a meaningful part of what I offer, but it's one piece of a wider practice that's always been about turning blank spaces into stories.
